Wakefield and Associates Inc is a company that works with various businesses to provide collection services and recover debt. Many Americans like you are being contacted by collection agencies who are trying to get payments on defaulted accounts they have acquired or been assigned. Even though you may owe a debt, you still have rights.

You should dispute the debt in writing if you feel as if the dollar amount the collection agency is requesting is inaccurate, if you feel the debt is not owed or if you feel the debt is fraudulent. You can send a letter to the collection agency within thirty days of first being notified of the collection. You should send this letter via certified mail so that you can prove that they received it. In response to your dispute, the collection agency must cease collection activity until they send you some sort of validation of the alleged debt. They can resume their collection efforts again once they produce proof of your debt.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”) regulates what debt collection agencies may and may not do. There are many things collection agencies cannot do or say when contacting you. Collection agencies may not:

  • use abusive or obscene language;
  • call before 8am or after 9pm;
  • call you repeatedly;
  • call you at work, if they know that your employer does not permit personal calls;
  • contact any third party and state that you owe a debt;
  • threaten to have you arrested or imprisoned.

      Wakefield and Associates Inc are on my Experian credit report. Wakefield and Associates Inc can find nothing for me. Wakefield and Associates Inc asked about my family members, which I don’t see what they have to do with anything. It’s almost like Wakefield and Associates Inc is acknowledging they have the wrong person. Yet Wakefield and Associates Inc continues to report on my credit.

      I am independent investigative journalist. I have acquired alarming information concerning Wakefield and Associates. Wakefield is currently representing Asher Investments 3, LLLP. Based on my investigations, research and interviews with the former residents and employees of the Foxfire Apartments in Glendale, CO Asher Investments 3, LLLP qualifies for the title of Slum Lord of Colorado.

      I obtained thousands of photographs and videos showing the deplorable conditions of the apartments from 2010 to 2015. The evidence shows the following; Asher Investments hired Vincent Rappossa as its apartment manager in 2014. Rappossa was authoritarian and disrespectful to residents. Rappossa’s dogs constantly defacated in the hallways of the building and Mr. Rappossa never cleaned it up. Mr. Rappossa installed a small dog relief area outside the building. Residents never picked up after their dogs and Mr Rappossa never ensured it was clean. Therefore, it was constantly filled with hundreds of piles of dog feces.

      Mr. Rappossa moved a family into an apartment. The very same night a sewage pipe broke flooding the apartment and destroying all of the resident’s belongings with raw sewage. Mr. Rappossa tried “cleaning” the apartment. The residents left and demanded compensation for their destroyed belongings. Mr. Rappossa mocked them on his personal Facebook page quite publicly. Mr. Rapposa then tried to rent the apartment again, a blatant violation of the health code.

      An anonymous resident reported Mr. Rapposa to the Tri County Health Department as well as the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. There was an inspection and investigation and the apartment was closed for rental. Mr Rapposa was anonymously reported to Asher Management. Rather than firing Mr. Rappossa for his incompetence and his unethical conduct, Asher moved Mr. Rapposa to another of its properties to work again as a building manager. Asher then hired Janet Reyes.

      Ms. Reyes initiated tons of construction on the building. Construction workers were incompetent and constantly left dangerous tools and chemicals out in common areas where the elder, differently abled, or children could have been harmed. The construction prevented residents’ access to all of the amenities. Rent was not only not reduced for the lack of access to amenities residents’ paid for, it was actually increased to pay for the absurd remodeling of the decrepit building. The carpet was torn up and hard wood floors installed which were actually done twice simply because Ms. Reyes disliked the color of the stain. Residents had to pay for all of this with steadily increasing rent. Immediately after the floors were refinished people sat in wooden chairs and scratched them all to hell.

      The pool and hot tub were rarely accessible due to constant construction. The noise was unbearable. Foxfire Apartments and Asher were clearly in blatant violation of Colorado’s warranty of habitability statute. The pool and spa were always dirty and constantly filled with dead flies. In addition, the no smoking signs throughout the building and pool and spa area were constantly ignored. Residents and Foxfire employees regularly smoked in the pool, the spa, the common areas, and cigarrette butts were left lying around everywhere with people’s germs on them easily accessible to children. Janet Reyes left and again was transferred to another of Asher’s properties. Then Asher hired an incredible incompetent.

      Daisy Pizarro was unbelievably rude to residents and incredibly lazy. She obvioiusly did not know how to do her job and became angry any time a resident needed assistance. She was the “darling” however of “Mrs. Asher” the wife of the President of Asher Investments 3, LLP. This man’s name is W L Asher, MD. Apparently “Doctor” Asher ran a sham weight loss clinic for years prior to getting into the apartment industry. Obviously Dr. Asher preyed on people with poor body consciousness to obtain lots of money on allegedly “rapid weight loss” techniques that everyone knows by now are scams. It is interesting to note that Dr. Asher’s medical office is listed as closed and it is precisely the same address as the current offices of Asher Investments 3, LLP. Smells like a scam to me.

      A disabled resident with PTSD repeatedly requested not to be disturbed by Ms. Pizzaro who refused to close the door of the leasing office which was right accross the hall from the resident’s apartment. Ms. Pizzarro also failed to make any of the repairs in the apartment and was constantly eating and smoking marijuana. Not that I have anything against cannabis, but you don’t hire a pot head as a building manager unless you are Asher and you just want someone who will work for cheap. Ms. Pizzarro was barely English literate as was indicated by her embarassingly bad grammar and spelling in written correspondence. Ms. Pizzarro was constantly visited by the wife of Dr. Asher known only as “Mrs. Asher” both conspired to cover up the deplorable conditions of the Foxfire Apartments.

      There were several differently abled persons living in the Foxfire Apartments, one was a blind man. The elevator of the Foxfire apartments was literally broken for several months and when it was “repaired” it would quickly break down again. Not having an operating elevator is a blatant building code violation which was hidden from the authorities and the public. The stairs at Foxfire were absolutely treacherous concrete and metal death traps that no differently abled person could navigate without plummetting to their agonizing deaths. Certainly not something a blind man with a walking stick could navigate.

      This means that for the duration of the broken elevator (for several months) the blind man was essentially trapped in his apartment because he lived on the top floor. Ms. Pizzarro eventually tried to pin all of the things that went wrong at Foxfire on Jeff, the maintenance guy. Jeff was well liked by residents but Ms. Pizzarro hated him and treated him very poorly. She lied to her benefactor Mrs. Asher in order to get Jeff fired from a position he had obviously held for decades. He moved from his apartment in the middle of the night quite angrily. It is important to note that Asher stuck Jeff in the apartment that was closed for rentals because of the busted sewage pipe. Jeff therefore had to live with the residue of human fecal matter and urine throughout the apartment. At about this same time there was a terrible bed beg infestation throughout the building.

      Ms. Pizarro failed to address it in a timely manner and when residents complained she got angry and dismissed them. The infestaion was so bad that people’s pets were injured, and so were children, the elderly, and people generally, whose apartments had been taken over by these disgusting creatues due to the unsanitary conditions at Foxfire where staff constantly left garbage out in the common areas, including used toilets during the remodeling process. Dozens of people had to discard their furniture because of the extent of the infestation.

      One resident was fed up. He’d had enough and refused to pay rent on the legal ground that Foxfire and Asher Investments 3, LLP were in blatant breach of Colorado’s warranty of habitability statute. He was evicted. It is important to note here that a criminal element was present at Foxfire, vending machines and the laundry card machine were repeatedly broken into for petty cash. Also, Foxfire staff constantly stole shopping carts from local business to transport things around. According to my investigation there were people living at Foxfire under aliases. It appears they had stolen someone else’s identity. This will become important later.

      Several disgruntled residents who were thrown out of their homes for threatening to reveal the corruption of Asher Investments 3, LLP and the Foxfire Apartments set up social media accounts to share all of their photographs, videos, and stories of how bad Asher owned properties are. The damage done to Asher’s reputation was so bad it first tried to change the name of the apartments from Foxfire to the “ICON” apartments, an apt name for such a bunch of conniving con artists. Ultimately, Asher was forced to sell and the property is now known as the Helix. Asher continued its policy of intimidation and harassment to all former residents who had dared stand up to them. Asher also pursued people who’s identities had been stolen in an attempt to collect a debt.

      One anonymous person has stated that Asher hired Wakefield and Associates to collect a debt for which he is not responsible because of a case of mistaken identity or identity theft. The last name of the former Foxfire resident is identical except for one letter to the source’s name. The source has said Wakefield constantly engages in debt harassment and constantlly violates Colorado’s Fair Debt Collection Practices Act in an attempt to collect a debt from the wrong person. It should not be surprising to anyone that Wakefield would represent such sleezly slum lords like Asher Investments 3, LLP. Please do not rent at any Asher owned property. Please be on the look out for my continued reporting, with photographs, videos, and other evidence, of Asher and Wakefield’s unethical, and probably illegal conduct.
