National Management Recovery Corp is a company that works with various businesses to provide collection services and recover debt. Many Americans like you are being contacted by collection agencies who are trying to get payments on defaulted accounts they have acquired or been assigned. Even though you may owe a debt, you still have rights.

You should dispute the debt in writing if you feel as if the dollar amount the collection agency is requesting is inaccurate, if you feel the debt is not owed or if you feel the debt is fraudulent. You can send a letter to the collection agency within thirty days of first being notified of the collection. You should send this letter via certified mail so that you can prove that they received it. In response to your dispute, the collection agency must cease collection activity until they send you some sort of validation of the alleged debt. They can resume their collection efforts again once they produce proof of your debt.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”) regulates what debt collection agencies may and may not do. There are many things collection agencies cannot do or say when contacting you. Collection agencies may not:

  • use abusive or obscene language;
  • call before 8am or after 9pm;
  • call you repeatedly;
  • call you at work, if they know that your employer does not permit personal calls;
  • contact any third party and state that you owe a debt;
  • threaten to have you arrested or imprisoned.

    If any of these things occur, your best option is to consult with a consumer protection attorney.

      They keep calling my job even after I told them I’m on the verge of getting fired because of it and threatening me. Francis keeps cutting me off when I try to talk to him and tell him my circumstances and won’t even hear what I have to say. When I tell him not to call me anymore at work because my boss is very mad he keeps cutting me off asking when I’ll pay. I’m beyond livid and this is awful harassment.

      National Management Recovery Corp said if I didn’t pay that felony charges were going to be brought against me. I believe National Management Recovery Corp violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by saying things like this.

      I’ve had two experiences with National Management Recovery Corp. They constantly keep calling while I’m at work stating that they need me to verify information without wanting to give me any information as to what the call is regarding. They also threatened me with a law suit in small claims court and said they were suing and trying to serve me at home and at work. Again, without my knowledge of anything.

      Last Thursday I got a call from my Oklahoma County clerks office say that they got a fraud complaint against me and I’m being sued but If I call this number 954-255-7010 or 512-382-2062 I can maybe stop the process. The company I called is called “National Management Recovery Corp”. They told me I owe Plain Green LLC $3648.08 and I was being sued and they are going to put me down as a fraud. I was scared so I ask them if I pay them $100.00 to stop the process and if they would sent me a receipt and sent me by email that they own the debt. They haven’t sent me anything I almost feel like I got scammed.
