Fact; Pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, it is unlawful for a collection agency to use profane language with you.
Many Americans like you are being contacted by collection agencies who are trying to get payments on defaulted accounts they have acquired or been assigned. Even though you may owe a debt, you still have rights.
You should dispute the debt in writing if you feel as if the dollar amount the collection agency is requesting is inaccurate, if you feel the debt is not owed or if you feel the debt is fraudulent. You can send a letter to the collection agency within thirty days of first being notified of the collection. You should send this letter via certified mail so that you can prove that they received it. In response to your dispute, the collection agency must cease collection activity until they send you some sort of validation of the alleged debt. They can resume their collection efforts again once they produce proof of your debt.
The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”) regulates what debt collection agencies may and may not do. There are many things collection agencies cannot do or say when contacting you. Collection agencies may not:
If any of these things occur, your best option is to consult with a consumer protection attorney.

Mid America Accounts Control Bureau Inc has been calling me. I asked Mid America Accounts Control Bureau Inc to validate this supposed debt and they will not.
Equifax contacted them twice about a dispute on my credit report. Mid-America kept returning them as accurate when I had paid the account in full. So, I called Mid-America. They said they have people calling everyday who say they paid an account. And, if the “verified them all, we’d never get anything else done.” They refused to call the original creditor or respond to the dispute, or correct the reports to the credit bureau. Became very hateful on the phone. I recorded the conversation if anyone is interested in hearing it.
What they are doing is violating the law. Turn them into the FDCPA and your attorney general. They have damaged us greatly and ?I will file chargers against them. They three credit bureaus have to take those off your credit report if they are shown to be medical bills. Thee people are destroying people with their lies and false reporting. You need to continue with the three credit bureaus and tell the these are written off medical bills and everyone should never pay one single dime to the4se thieves and abusers of the law and people. They are lying to people and destroying people and I will no longer put up with them doing what they have done to people. These are bills they have been written off and they bought thee bills for pennies on the dollar. You do not owe them one single dime. These people are as dirty as they come and will do anything to destroy you.
