Innovative Debt Recovery Inc is a company that works with various businesses to provide collection services and recover debt. Many Americans like you are being contacted by collection agencies who are trying to get payments on defaulted accounts they have acquired or been assigned. Even though you may owe a debt, you still have rights.

You should dispute the debt in writing if you feel as if the dollar amount the collection agency is requesting is inaccurate, if you feel the debt is not owed or if you feel the debt is fraudulent. You can send a letter to the collection agency within thirty days of first being notified of the collection. You should send this letter via certified mail so that you can prove that they received it. In response to your dispute, the collection agency must cease collection activity until they send you some sort of validation of the alleged debt. They can resume their collection efforts again once they produce proof of your debt.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”) regulates what debt collection agencies may and may not do. There are many things collection agencies cannot do or say when contacting you. Collection agencies may not:

  • use abusive or obscene language;
  • call before 8am or after 9pm;
  • call you repeatedly;
  • call you at work, if they know that your employer does not permit personal calls;
  • contact any third party and state that you owe a debt;
  • threaten to have you arrested or imprisoned.

    If any of these things occur, your best option is to consult with a consumer protection attorney.

      I WORKED THERE FOR MONTHS MAKING MORE SALES CALLS PER DAY THAN ANY OF THE COLLECTORS MADE COLLECTOR CALLS – SERIOUSLY!
      Sorry about the caps. Anyway I signed contracts with over 30 large internet marketing companies to IDR. They told me all along that their attorney( J Mark Heldenbrand) was designing a contract that was difficult for him to write due to the fact that I was to receive compensation at 309% of their fees and also any legal fees that he would generate on the law office side and that even when the relationship was terminated that I would receive the same compensation for 2 years from the term date. They never produced the contract and instead started calling my clients unbeknownst by me, they were stating that they would have to deal with other staff members, and they were about to fire me for misconduct? Then one day told me to pack my stuff and leave when I found out what they were doing and I approached the president Dain De Felice with what I had heard from a client that they were doing.

      You can see by them first denying my working there as a contractor all the way to the end of the complaints when changed their story but said they fired me, that they are full of it. Since then they have lost a few of the clients because of their inability to collect these types of files but for the ones that are real easy and typically very large balance and big debtor companies – have made hundreds of thousands of dollars off of my hard work. I have emails on their cloud drive to me that are congratulating me and thanking me al the way until they got greedy and started back dooring me to the clients. The emails from them that are lying about me being a problem were sent to me after they termed me and I threatened to sue them and also emailed their entire staff and basically made a fool out of the president and the attorney. I also filed a bar complaint against the attorney who had already a terrible past with the bar – censures including probation on one of the bar hearings/reprimands. MY complaint is still active and in the ninth month and has been to 2 levels of the bar. It may be the final straw and they are most interested in 1. fee splitting and 2. the monies he did not pay me as was promised.
