Critical Resolution Mediation LLC is a company that works with various businesses to provide collection services and recover debt. Many Americans like you are being contacted by collection agencies who are trying to get payments on defaulted accounts they have acquired or been assigned. Even though you may owe a debt, you still have rights.

You should dispute the debt in writing if you feel as if the dollar amount the collection agency is requesting is inaccurate, if you feel the debt is not owed or if you feel the debt is fraudulent. You can send a letter to the collection agency within thirty days of first being notified of the collection. You should send this letter via certified mail so that you can prove that they received it. In response to your dispute, the collection agency must cease collection activity until they send you some sort of validation of the alleged debt. They can resume their collection efforts again once they produce proof of your debt.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”) regulates what debt collection agencies may and may not do. There are many things collection agencies cannot do or say when contacting you. Collection agencies may not:

  • use abusive or obscene language;
  • call before 8am or after 9pm;
  • call you repeatedly;
  • call you at work, if they know that your employer does not permit personal calls;
  • contact any third party and state that you owe a debt;
  • threaten to have you arrested or imprisoned.

    If any of these things occur, your best option is to consult with a consumer protection attorney.

      THIS GUY CALLED AND SAID THAT HE WAS WITH Critical Resolution Mediation LLC I ASKED IF HE WAS A CREDITOR AND HE SAID NO…. AFTER ASKING HOW HE GOT MY FILE HE SAID THAT IF I DIDN’T RESOLVE THIS ISSUE THAN THEY WERE GOING TO MOVE IT TO THE NEXT STEPS WHICH WOULD BE CRIMINAL PROSECUTION WITH A PENALTY OF 1 YEAR IN PRISON.

      PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF WE HAVE SOMETHING HERE. I DO BELIEVE THEY HAVE VIOLATED THE LAW.

        I’ve been contacted and threatened with Prosecution for ‘Malicious Intent’ with a Payday loan that I could swear was paid off. Need to know what’s going on before I do anything else. Thanks. This Woman also told my mother that I was facing prosecution for writing bad checks. (Which I never did)

      my experience with this company was terrible, first off they played to be a detective calling me about a pending lawsuit outside of the county where i use to live, then once i called the police department and they verified that they will not call me from a 210 area code or about a debt. however, they are skiptracing me calling my family members about me bouncing bad checks and I dont even write checks, its causing conflict with my family because they are telling my family that i am giving their contact info as a reference in which i did not. however i was told that they were filing paperwork against me in my old county, that i have to pay this debt today, telling me im writing bad checks. i informed the ignorant lady that i spoke with that i call FTC 3 years ago about this and she went crazy on the phone. I did contact the FTC because they were harrassing me at the place of business where i worked and i was written up behind it because we were not allowed to take collections calls. i plan on getting the ftc back in volved with this issue, as well as the GBI since they want to play detectives. not one time did they read me a mini miranda, they would not give me their correct address, they would not disclose any information about what i am to pay them for. i want to speak with the owner of this company and not any of the ghetto employees that they have. you dont have to skip trace me my number is 4043725907… i will be sending a cease and desist letter, and once i get with ftc about the previous complaint 3 years ago i will also get with the owner … I would love for someone to contact me that have some sense and dont want to argue. like i told the detective give me some paperwork, this is a scam with 3 different companies trying to make people give their credit and debit card info. and they state that they are dealing with atorneys. i will fight to get to the bottom of all of this.

      thankyou

      I got a call on 5/16/17 from a Michelle at this company saying they were a mediation company and they represented a loan company I owed $400+ to. If I paid the debt right now it would be resolved. If I paid half and then the rest in 30 days it would cost $900+. Those were my only options. If I didn’t pay then at the end of the day she would file a warrant and in my state is a felony. About an hour later a guy called from the same place only he took a softer approach and said I could make payments, that someone should not have called me threatening me and he would look into it. He was going to send an email with the info but he never did. This is a scam.

      These people have been calling my ex husbands family. Even went so far as to call his first wife that I’ve never met or even know. I filed a complaint with the BBB in Georgia. I will also be filing a complain with the FCC and the state attorney general of Georgia. They have released my personal information to 3rd parties on voice mails that I have copies of. They also get really mad when you call them repeatedly like they do you. I got hung up on 15 times in a row and screamed at when I asked for proof of a debt “I don’t have to give you anything!” – They are total scammers guys. Don’t fall for this stuff! Start filing complaints with everyone you can think of.

      this guy who said his name was Blake Mobley, if that’s even his real name called me and asked if I was who I was, he then proceeded to read me my license number and said that it was in revocation status due to misuse of federal funds, he asked me how much could i come up with today, and aid i could make payments. This guy is stealing money from me. like everyone else here I don’t believe this company is even real and these people are crooks and hackers. go to the attorney general or the FBI to get some answers.
